Neuromodulators: (Botox/Dysport/Xeomin/Jeauveu) are FDA approved products that are injected into specific facial muscles to help soften and relax wrinkles caused by repeated facial expression. As we age, our skin loses collagen and elastin which can lead to the development of wrinkles from repetitive movements such as frowning and squinting. Neuromodulators help to smooth the appearance of the lines and can prevent new ones from forming. Neuromodulators can also be used to treat TMJ/TMD (temporomandibular joint disorders), tension headaches, teeth grinding, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) and tension to upper back and neck.
Neuromodulators may take up to two weeks to fully integrate but most people start to see results within the first 7-10 days or sooner. Results last anywhere between 3-4 months however with regular use results may last longer as the muscles become weaker.
